Can you make a film without telling your lead actor they're in one?

Jonathan wanted me to guest on his Twitch stream, and I was happy to do so. In return, I asked him to come around to my house a few months later to “shoot a video”.

I didn’t tell him any more than that, other then that he should wait in the car and text me on his arrival.

The results were very much to my satisfaction.

Behold - MILK .

That was....wow, haha! Very interesting work, kudos! And John really had no idea any of this was happening beforehand?

Yup! All he knew is he was to arrive, wait in his car, and that there’d be an outfit for the day’s activities provided.

Was quite a lot of fun, gotta put out the making of soon.

Yeah! I’d worked with him before on a scripted shoot, and his ad-libs were amazing, so I was at least 33% confident he’d get   it and lean in.

Thankfully the gamble paid off!
